In this article, I will be sharing with you my feedback after using the product. Please note, that my post isn’t sponsored and I paid 39€ for the product.
The product comes neatly packaged in a box with inside black cardboard layers, spoon and an usage instructions manual. It is definitely suitable as a gift, due to its luxurious packaging.
When examining the jar while holding it in my hands, I can see that there is a thick layer of salts at the bottom and a thin layer of watery substance at the top.
It looks very interesting, with the surface of the product reminding me of a sea lagoon.
Upon removing the protective plastic film from the top, my hands instantly got oily from all the essential oils inside. For this reason, I would advise you to open it while having tissues or a towel under the jar so that you don’t get your clothing dirty.
Just looking at the product and feeling its smell is so refreshing. The surface really looks as if I was putting my hand into the sand soaked in sea water.
The salts are really thick, mixed with small pieces of plants. It feels exotic and luxurious.
As stated on the packaging, the ingredients are following:
Sodium chloride, caprylic/capric triglyceride, isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, maris sal, limonene, camelia sinensis leaf, citrus aurantium bergamia peel oil, citrus nobilis peel oil, citrus aurantium dulcis peel oil, rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil, helianthus annuus seed oil, linalool, camelia sinensis leaf extract, solum fullonum.
CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF – Organic Green Tea Infusion
Green Tea is an unfermented tea with a unique antioxidant power because it contains vitamins B and C,catechins- Epigallocatechin (EGCG) gallate – minerals and aminoacids: Purifying, Firming, Reshaping and Detoxing.
MARINE SALT
Reduction of water retention, detoxifying and exfoliating action
ORANGE EXTRACT
Reduces pores, firming and brightens.
CLEMENTINE ESSENTIAL OIL
Purifying, illuminating and moisturizing properties.
ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL
Sebum regulator, firming and purifying.
The formula does not include: Parabens, paraffins,silicones, SLES, SLS, mineral oils, formaldehyde donors and synthetic dyes.
According to the instructions, the content should be mixed using the black spoon, which is included in the package. However, I decided to mix it just using my hands.
When applying the body scrub while having a bath, I was instantly hit with the exotic scent. Rubbing the contents across my skin made me feel as if I was undergoing an expensive spa experience. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the special moments.
It took long for the salts to completely melt, as they were very rough. I wouldn’t recommend this product for a sensitive skin.
Also, once I completely washed the scrub away, all parts of my body which I massaged with the product remained covered under an oily film, created by the essential oils sticking to my skin.
The oily residue could be a problem for someone with acne or who doesn’t like its feeling on their skin.
For me, the product did its job. As a peeling, it works perfectly. I am pretty sure that no dead cells or skin blemishes remained, it also helped treat my acne on the back and shoulders.
My skin feels fresh, hydrated and smooth. I will definitely stay with this body scrub, as it cannot be compared to the similar products used by other brands.
